XXXXXX (organisation) PARTICIPATES IN WORLD VETERINARY DAY

xyz, xyz and xyz will be among the attractions at X practice encouraging visitors to participate in World Veterinarian Day on xxxxxxxxx (date).

X practice is one of many veterinarian practices around the world taking part in The World Veterinary Day - an event celebrating the contribution of the veterinary profession to society.

The World Veterinary Association is a worldwide non profit association working in the best, long-term interest of veterinarians, clients, cooperative partners and the world society.

World Veterinary Association President Dr Herbert Schneider says the event is a fun way to find out about what veterinarians do.

"Being a veterinary involves far more than caring for and treating sick animals, veterinarians are key professionals providing essential services in a range of areas.

They include farm and wild animal practice, working with the food industry on food safety and world health issues. The current biosecurity foot and mouth scare in Europe has involved hundreds of vets including contingents from overseas. At the border vets oversee the imports and exports of food and products that could contain disease.

Veterinarians have a compulsory and intensive ongoing professional development program throughout their careers this ensures that veterinarians in any area of practice are up to play with modern science and technology."

xxx will run from x to x (time), at (place) on Saturday April 30.
