WVA Information: World Veterinary Day in Serbia

Serbian veterinarians are celebrating the World Veterinary Day for the first time, from this year on. As a part of preparation for membership in WVA, Serbian Veterinary Society and Veterinary Chamber of Serbia initiated the celebration, aiming to establish it as a traditional veterinary event in our country.
The celebration is organized as a serial of press conferences, from the state level down to the regional centers, with the intention to elicit public attention and interest toward our profession and the work we do.
The main press event is going to be held in Belgrade, April 23rd, 11 a.m., in Serbian News Agency Press Center:
Dr. Miroslav Marinkovic, Head of Veterinary Directorate, Dr. Zoran Rasic, President of Veterinary Chamber, and Prof. Dr. Bosiljka Djuricic, President of Serbian Veterinary Society are going to convey the key messages of this year's celebration to public health and food safety, from Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th.
The media interest is to be called upon the veterinary services, mostly institutes, clinics and ambulances, which are ready to offer free trichinosis examination, advices on various topics dealing with animal and public
The celebration of World Veterinary Day throughout Serbia is going to start earlier in the week, respecting the following Orthodox Easter.
