1970 - Graduated at the Veterinarian Medicine School, Federal
University of the State of Bahia, Brazil
PROFESSIONAL CAREER:
Since 1995, Coordinator of the Agricultural Health Project,
Interamerican Institute of Cooperation on Agriculture / IICA
This Project foresees the restructure and modernization of the
Agricultural Defense System and its economical integration at
the South Common Market - MERCOSUL - joined by Argentina,
Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Brazil.
During 25 years, carried out duties as a Veterinarian at the
Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture in the following positions:
National Agricultural Defense Secretary, Director-General of the
Animal Production Dept., Advisor to the Minister of State,
Member of the Foot and Mouth Disease Combat Executive Group (
Esp?rito Santo State) and Specialist for the same purpose in the
State of Bahia, Finance Manager of the Projects linked to the
Ministry of Agriculture, International Matters Advisor at the Co-
operativism Dept.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
- Selected as a lecturer for the Department of Preventive
Veterinary Medicine, Federal University of the State of Bahia,
1989
- Over the years many lectures were presented to different level
of professionals, in Brazil and abroad
- IICA representant in the Agriculture Commission for the
structure of the School of Veterinarian Medicine, University of
Brasilia, Brazil
