The organization of the plans of studies is divided into three cycles, leading respectively to graduate, master and doctoral degrees. The undergraduate Veterinary Medicine course of ICBAS has five years of formal teaching and nine months of a training period. Part of the professionalizing teaching, such as zootechny and clinics of big animals takes place in Vairão Agrarian Complex. This degree aims to graduate technicians in veterinary activities such as clinics, public health, animal production and thecnological processing, inspection and sanitary support to the different animal production activities, quality control and environmental and sanitary control, teaching and research.
