Likewise, the Department provides subjects in the following schools: E. Politécnica Superior de Gandia, School of Engineering Design, STD Rural and Enology, Agricultural ETSI ETSI Caminos, Canales y Puertos. The Institute for Animal Science and Technology (ICTA) is a separate structure from the UPV research and is aimed at generating knowledge, products, processes, methods and new systems for the basic research and / or applied, and the transfer of knowledge in the field of animal production . The ICTA's main functions and objectives: 1. Develop a strategic plan on Animal Production 3 years to be approved by the Committee on R & D of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and updated regularly. 2. Support and promote research activities in the Area of Animal Production 3. Participate in the processes of institutional quality assessment and actively promote improvement in the quality of research activities of the groups that constitute it. 4.
