World Medical Association 200th Council Session - WVA President speech
On 18th April 2015, the WVA President, Dr René Carlson attended the World Medical Association 200th Council Session in Oslo, Norway.
Dr Carlson addressed the WMA Council delegates focusing on the WVA priorities where both organizations have a common ground for collaborations; Zoonotic diseases, Animal Welfare, Good quality education and Pharmaceutical stewardship.
Dr Carlson emphasised the importance of continuing the good collaboration between WVA and WMA which is important and beneficial in many ways; “if we continue to work jointly on many of these common issues, we will become a working model for national and regional collaboration between our two professions leading to a much greater impact on improving human, animal, and environmental health”.
