New WVA Website

The WVA is happy to announce that the new WVA website is now fully operational.

The WVA secretariat is still working on the website in order to complete and improve its content.

WVA members are requested to check their contact details in the “members” section (under the “about WVA” area) and to communicate to the secretariat if there is a need to correct or update their information.

New Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cambodia

On 19-20, June 2013, the WVA Councilor for Asia and Oceania, Dr Achariya Sailasuta participated in the 1st International Consultative Workshop on “Development and Implementation of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Curriculum in the new-established Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Dr. Sailasuta also delivered a WVA presentation entitled “World Veterinary Education and Day – One Competences”.   

World Veterinary Congress 2013

Now it is only 1O weeks before the 31st World Veterinary Congress which will take place in Prague, Czech Republic on 17-20 September 2013. The detailed program for the eleven streams of Scientific Program including World Summit and Global Veterinary Seminar on Animal Welfare can be found HERE.

On Thursday 19th September, during the WVC 2013, the WVA Presidents Assembly (PA) 2013 will take place. The official invitation letter, registration forms and the draft agenda are already sent to all WVA members. All participants in the PA are urgently requested to send their registrations to the Secretariat by 31stJuly 2013 at the latest.

The PA will be followed by the WVA 150 year’s celebration event where the World Veterinary Day and John Gamgee Awards will be presented to the selected winners.
