World Veterinary Congress 2013

Now it is only 5 weeks before the 31st World Veterinary Congress which will take place in Prague, Czech Republic on 17-20 September 2013.

The scientific program includes eleven different streams covering all the veterinary fields. The WVA prepared together with the European Commission a Global Veterinary Seminar on Animal Welfare which will take place on 17 and 18 September 2013. WVA also worked together with FAO, OIE and WHO on 2nd WVA GLOBAL SUMMIT - “Global Wellbeing- a Partnership of Animal and Human Health” which will take place on 18 September 2013. Detailed agenda for the Summit can be found HERE.

 

In addition to the WVC scientific program, different international organizations will hold their own sessions during the WVC 2013. For example, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) will hold a Scientific Colloquium on preparedness in animal health entitled “Risk assessment-thinking out of the box” (Link to the EFSA program).
