World Veterinary Day in India News / World Veterinary Day Posted by JimEdwards on Apr 29, 2008 - 09:17 PM The College of Veterinary Sciences Teachers Association, CVSC& AH, CAU, Selesih, Aizawl, Mizoram, India observed the World Veterinary Day on 26th April, 2006. The Day was observed by holding seminers, preofessional quiz amongst students. The Dean of the College, Dr. Gaj Raj Singh in his speech highlited the role of veterinarian in changing time. Dr. Singh also called upon the young veterinarians to work tirelessly towrads the upliftment of the society. Prof Dr. B. Prasad delived a scientific lecture on enviromental nitrates and animal health. The Professional quiz was conducted by Dr. Saidur Rahman, Dr. P.S. Mahapatra and Dr. kehar Singh. Robert Virchow Group emerged as the winner of the Quiz. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Y. Damodar Singh, Chairman of the Association. Dr, S.K. Borthakur, Secretary of the association, welcomed the deligates before stating the programme.
