WVA Supports Universal Declaration of Animal Welfare Animal Welfare / Animal Welfare Posted by JimEdwards on Jul 31, 2008 - 09:09 AM The Presidents’ Assembly held in Vancouver on 30 July 2008 has given its support in principal to the Universal Declaration of Animal Welfare. The Universal Declaration of Animal Welfare has been promoted by the World Society for the Protection of Animals [1] and has received support from national and regional veterinary associations. The World Organisation for Animal Health [2] (OIE) has given its support in principal for the Declaration. “It is very pleasing that the global veterinary profession has given its support for the Universal Declaration” said Dr Jim Edwards.
