I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on May 5, 1949.



I graduated from the University of Alberta in 1971 with a

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and from the University of

Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975,

with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.



I own a mixed animal practice in central Alberta,where I

practiced for 25 years. Currently, I no longer practice clinical

medicine but still manage the practice.



My present role is as Registrar of the Alberta Veterinary

Medical Association, the licensing body for veterinarians in

Alberta.  I also am the president elect for the Canadian

Veterinary Medical Association.



Personally, I am married (Lucille) for 33 years and have three

adult daughters. We have a small farm near Edmonton with beef

cattle and horses.
