The World Veterinary Association (WVA) and Ceva Sante Animale (Ceva) are happy to present the WVA Global Veterinary Awards of 2025.
The WVA Global Veterinary Awards comprise 6 awards of 5000 Euros. These Awards recognise four veterinarians and one veterinary student for their work in providing animal owners, governments, health authorities, farmers, other veterinarians, and the public, with best practice across the four Strategic Objectives of the WVA:
One Health
Medicines Stewardship
Animal Welfare
Veterinary Education
“Veterinary student of the year” – together with the International Veterinary Student Association (IVSA)
One overall winner as “Veterinarian of the year”
Nominations
WVA calls out to its members around the world for nominations, which will be assessed by the Working Group of each of the WVA Strategic Objectives (One Health, Medicines Stewardship, Animal Welfare and Veterinary Education).
The deadline to nominate is the 26th of February 2025; only nominations from WVA Members are accepted and must be submitted throught the link sent to their official email contact.
Awards ceremony
The award winners will be announced between April and July of 2025 on the WVA website and social media.
Category winners will attend a final ceremony during WVAC2025 in Washington DC, US, in July of 2025, where the ‘Veterinarian of the Year’ will also be announced.
