As outlined, the last year the WVA Council selected Kenes Group to provide secretariat services to the WVA, and as part of our agreement discussions we worked together to implement the optimum structure for the WVA. This new structure allows the WVA to maintain dedicated and focused staff and to have a virtual administrative office without the associated overheads. The WVA also benefits from the expertise, resources and support of the Kenes Group, leveraging the benefits of working with an international organisation whilst maintaining the independence and culture of our association.
Yvonne Niño continues in her role of Policy Officer, now based in Spain. Many of you will know Yvonne, if only by email, as she has been tirelessly working in the past months to manage many of our associations key projects and activities.
Magda Lourenço takes on the role of WVA Executive Manager. Magda has worked for international associations for 11 years, including 10 years with a health-related organization. She has led strategies, managed multiple projects, events and communities. Magda brings a new perspective and energy to the WVA and she is eager to take on the challenge of supporting the WVA through this next phase of growth.
The WVA family welcomes and supports Magda Lourenço and Yvonne Niño in their roles, working tirelessly to serve our members and the wider veterinary profession.
