Two new WVA Position Statements on Animal Welfare published

The WVA recently published two Position Statements that support and advocate for Animal Welfare.
The ‘Pain Management in Farmed Animals‘ Statement supports better pain recognition and management of farmed animals and calls on WVA members to advocate for the protection for farmed animals in their country or region.
With the Statement ‘Humane Care of Animals in Biomedical Research‘ WVA stands that while each country should have its own regulatory framework that determines the minimum standards of care for research animals, 4 imperative rules should apply.

Our position statement are the result of an extensive analysis and revision process by the WVA Working Groups and Council.
