World Food Safety Day

Today, the World Veterinary Association celebrates World Food Safety Day to emphasise the veterinary profession’s crucial role in controlling and upholding the safety and quality of food. Veterinarians are trained in both animal health and food hygiene to ensure the safety of food of animal origin. These roles are reflected in the recently published WVA Position on the Role of Veterinarians in Food Safety.
